The birth center is always open for our clients.
Most private insurance plans and Medicaid are accepted by The Midwife Group/ Family Health & Birth Center. We are often a choice for self-pay clients due to the lower cost of our services.
Payment contracts are available.
Certified Nurse-Midwives
Believe that pregnancy and childbirth are normal functions of a healthy woman.
Provide prenatal care.
Teach you about pregnancy and birth.
Deliver your baby.
Support breast feeding.
Provide postpartum care.
Offer family planning methods.
Do annual GYN exams & Pap smears and handle common GYN problems for women of all ages.
The Birth Center is state licensed and nationally certified to provide a safe and comfortable place to have your baby. The midwives are able to deliver babies in the hospital when necessary but our preference and primary site of care is the Birth Center. The Midwife Group has been providing safe and sensitive care to women of coastal Georgia since 1987.
