From our humble beginnings on Broad Street in New Orleans to our current position as the world's largest fine dining company, Ruth's Chris Steak House has come quite a long way in its first four decades. In 2005, we celebrated our 40th anniversary, and we consider it a celebration of the life of a woman who broke the mold - our founder, Ruth Fertel.

Eggs are our specialty, including a wide variety of omelettes. We have buttermilk pancakes, French toast and our Belgian waffles are golden crisp and hot off the waffle iron. We do offer egg substitute and vegetarian options for the health conscious.

It was in September of 2005 that Reed and Meredith Dulany began to develop plans to open a restaurant in Savannah. Their goal was to create a space and a menu that was simple yet refined and honest to their sophisticated southern roots. Recognizing the culinary and societal benefits of using local products whenever possible and with a desire to create a space that felt familiar, the name Local 11 Ten was decided upon.
